you mean I could've just bought a book? rather than spend 2 years getting a master's degree?? :-) Just kidding, kinda. Sounds like a good overview, and I'm always one for strengthening the business skills of arts managers, especially in a difficult time like what we're facing now.

I agree there are many benefits of going green. Not only to the environment but to our pocket books. However the "green industry" like any other is also subject to profiteering so it is wise to do our research. A great, well researched article by the way.

part of it is, let's be honest: Israelis are by far the most attractive people on the planet. I don't know if it's the climate, the food, or something in the water, but... damn!

The greatest thing about watching them perform, for me, is that they create these amazing affirmations of life in the midst of such a turbulent, violent country.

Batsheva did a residency at my grad school while I was there...10 years later, still one of the best dances I've ever seen...I'm jealous...I want to see them again.

Are you going to get to see the RSC's Histories cycle while you are in Europe? I'm actually going to London in the middle of this month to see them, and I am beyond excited.

My exMaya introduced me to how inventive Science Fiction can be to discovering ideas about how people interact and what their motivations are in life.
I don't want to see so much CGI. I want fantastical theatrics that are larger than life in language rather than visual fireworks. Where are the witty, caustic and dramatic writers hiding?

You are quite the critic. I bet we could have created more comedy doing a performance of Waiting for Godot in the park with random folks rather than sitting in the theatre. I've been enjoying the theatre of life in Dupont Circle, learning how to play chess again and meeting the unofficial historians of DC.
I've missed spending time interfacing with real people. I'm tired of the computer culture that has taken over the world of communications.
I want to work with folks face to face. I want out of the theatrical boxes the world places on enterntainment. How do we move back into conversations and ways to entertain people in general, rather than contiunue to create circles of exclusivity?
