My brother is in this awesome new show. Normally I would be excited just because it’s my brother, but actually this sounds amazing! Culture Wars! Mini-golf! I am so excited and hope that you all can make it out. Let me know!
BIRDY & THE GOLDEN PUTTER, a new musical by Nick Colt and Jed Zion. Directed by Daniel G. O’Brien. Choreography by Julie Shavers. Music by The Burlesque Troubadors.
Send up the American culture wars with us in a new musical about the power struggle between a bible-themed minigolf course and a evil wax musuem! BIRDY & THE GOLDEN PUTTER illuminates the unquenchable American need for entertainment.
The rock-funk-americana score pays homage to rock musicals of the 70’s as well as traditional musical theater. The all star cast bring to life the weird wild world of small town side show entertainment. Combining elements of live music, song, dance, video, and puppetery, BIRDY & THE GOLDEN PUTTER promises to entertain, educate, and perhaps steal your very soul…

The acting, singing and dancing by the performers was tops. Good beat evil and love triumphed. Music and lyrics were clever and the whole silly evening was fun
